Hot Stepping it Home for the Last Bit of Light!

Bum accentuation courtesy of Pink Ruffle Jumpsuit: Maple HK, Black Fedora: Vintage (The new old one!) Hot Pink Wedges: Topshop
Surfing lesson?!!
The spectacular view from our roof terrace! Not a bad way to wake up I must say! Not that I wake up on the roof! Much!!!

Is this not the most stunning view ever?! YES, YES IT IS!!! ;) I've been feeling the blogger guilt for all the Disco Pony posting and lack of actual outfit posting... Sooo, I managed to make the big eyes at Albert and we hot footed it the hour and a half back to the jungle from the city in time for sunset! By the last bus leg of our journey (there are two trains, and two busses for this journey- not quite as bad as it sounds, HK has got it sorted when it comes to transportation!) we had to split up, due to lack of space on the bus! So I mentally willed the driver to put his foot on it so I could get home and somehow hold onto the light until Albert found a bus!!! We did it though!
This jumpsuit is not really the sort of thing I would go for... ever really... howwwwevvvverrrrrr, the colour makes me crazy, its so dusty and pink! Aaaannnnddd, it kind of reminded me of something Clemence Poesy would wear... it's the ruffles I feel. I felt it needed to be manified up a bit with the hat... I would have gone all out with black mens boots, but 90% of my shoe collection is now... somewhere in Barcelona! So I grabbed my trusty hot pinks, the clash for me is liberating! I love clashhhhy clash clash clashing! Yeah babyyy!!!
I'm not very good at not posting things as soon as I have done them... I will wait a little bit... maybe five seconds, then hit publish!!! haha! Impatience... bloggers virtue!
Lots and lots of disco love bunnies :) xx

The Mighty Jungle

Gold Sequin Turban: Disco Pony, Black Maxi Dress: Asos
New Header? You like?! See how skinny I've made myself!!! hahaha! Disco Pony is in there too!

WOAH BALLS!... No wonder models have to be sooo super duper owchie manawchie skinny beans, I mean, it's beyond depressing sometimes quite how physically warped the camera can make a poor girl look, despite being, urm, not so warped at all! Once that little clicker goes off and captures you inside its contraption... BAM, you have been transported into another body- one you honestly did not see in the mirror just moments before! (Or maybe I'm just delusional- probably!) It just makes so much sense why already wafer thin girls feel the need to starve themselves for the camera... just so one can look semi normal sized! It's madness I tell you, madness!
So, whilst I am moaning about looking so huge in all my photos, I am ermmm, scoffing down a bag of Marks and Sparks belgian chocolate raisins (Having M&S food in Hong Kong completely and utterly satisfies my Britishness- it's the BEST!), MMMMMMMMMM nom, nom, nommm.... It's a vicious circle!!! I'm not very good at the starving thing... I should really hop skip it upstairs to the gym that landlord so kindly left for us instead! Ermmm.... no, I think I will just stay here, eating my chocolates and watching Real Time!
Despite the slightly "Oh god, all these photos are hideous" feelings I had apres this shoot, I thought I really must show you some of this unbelievably gorgeous jungle we have found ourselves living in... so I fished out the least "warped" photos I could, so as not to offend/shock you!!! I've been living in maxi and midi dresses forever recently (forever recently... ???!!!) contradiction much- oops!?! I love the completely cut out back of this dress... keeps me cool! I really wanted to wear my Disco Pony Gold Turban, despite it being far too hot! I thought it would give a nice pop to the long lengths of black I have going on. This turban is a must for Hong Kong really... It's so humid ones hair goes all kinds of mad here... I suspect the winter would be a far more appropriate time to wear it here, but what can I say... I'm not appropriate, at all, ever!
I have to say the past couple of days have been pretty hideous sadly... I've been trying to adapt and get over my relentless jetlag, and it's all been rather painful! I think I'm finally out of the worst of it now... and should be up and running again tomorrow!!! Fingers crossed! Thanks for your lovely comments on the last post, I woke up to them this morning, and felt a lot better! You guysssss, <3 you!
I hope your all well, and it's sunny wherever you might be!
Love and loveeee xx
